We've all fallen down a time or two. Sometimes more. It is written, "Though a righteous man falls down seven times, he gets back up again." You never fail until you quit getting back up again. And again. And again. Whether its failing to remain academically eligible, losing a "big game," failing to maintain healthy relationships, wrecking a car, or a life . . . sometimes we DO fail. Our failure can be the seed that leads to our greatest victory. Michael Jordan was famously "cut" from his youth basketball team. Unfortunately, sometimes early success paves the way for future defeat. Frequently, the opposite is true. Athletes are fascinating to work with because their efforts at overcoming adversity are so vivid. And yet they frequently fail to learn (or apply) the life lessons learned from their athletic achievements to winning in the more important game of life! That's where I come in.
